Here I share what “Everyday” things I’ve figured out, searched for, realized through trial, error or oops! and all the things that we take for granted, with reason, when we don’t have to think about all the “what ifs” of special dietary needs.

Since my daughter’s diagnosis I’ve scoured the internet and the local stores for every bit of information I could scrounge up. I’ve read many articles, many blogs and websites dedicated to allergies and multiple other issues that Celiacs face. I’ve found a wealth of information, most from the States and from the CCA, but very little locally, in Laval. Although I hope this site benefits parents with young Celiacs everywhere I also want to dedicate it to helping local families new to their children’s diagnosis.

Why focus on the children? Because 90% of the information out there is for how older children and adults can cope with their new diets. What about parents who are raising babies and toddlers, or those raising multiple children and only one has Celiacs? How does the “parent in charge” deal with the little “Everyday” things that crop up from baby cereal to bread crumbs strewn across the dining room floor; to preschool & daycare Play-Doh just waiting for our gluten sensitive kids to get their hands on…?

This website/blog will be dedicated to those “Everyday” little things, how *I* dealt with them, the choices *I* made. Whether these are right or wrong for your family is completely up to you. I hope only to open your eyes to other possibilities and, maybe, to products, recipes and stores that can make your “Everyday, Gluten-Free” life that much easier.
